Collection: Elsa Beskow Books:

Loved for over a century, Elsa Beskow books have truly stood the test of time! Her books continue to be re-published today, to allow a new generation of children, with their families, to fall in love with her stories as children before them have done...again and again.

ELSA BESKOW BOOKS are embraced by Waldorf schools worldwide for her central themes of relationships between children and the adults in their lives, and the children's independent initiatives.

Children love the stories for the blend of elements they know from their real world, and those they might know less well from the Fairy Tale World. Children in Elsa Beskow stories meet elves and goblins, and farm animals talk with people.

In her lifetime, 1874-1953, Elsa Beskow garnered international recognition for her simple, cheerful stories and outstanding, lovely illustrations. Her stories all have happy endings, and depict a happy home life, set in the countryside she loved, and knew so well. She lived her whole life in Stockholm, Sweden.

She wrote over 25 books, all for children. Most were translated into English. Collect them all.
