Chapter Book for Young Readers - ADVENTURES OF AN ISLAND CAT NAMED BRUPP
Brupp is the...now...famous...cat from Prince Edward Island, Canada who sets out by himself to see the whole wide world!
The first stories about Brupp were originally published before 1997. Now, author Deirdre Kessler, herself from Prince Edward Island, has written a final chapter of Brupp's travels and included it in this new chapter book, ADVENTURES OF AN ISLAND CAT NAMED BRUPP.

Brupp the Cat books are true animal fantasy fiction, with more than a touch of philosophy along the way! The action, and the adventures, are fast-paced as Brupp faces real danger travelling on his own. Children will cheer every time as Brupp relies on friendships made along his journey to help him safely on his way.
This new volume includes all the previously published Brupp stories and the new, never-before-published, highly anticipated, concluding story, Book Six: Brupp and the Milk River Orphans. With illustrations by Cynthia Donnelly.
Book Four: Brupp Goes West, and Book Five: Brupp Dreams of Home, were originally published as Brupp Rides Again, winner of the Canadian Children's Book Centre Our Choices Award.
Diedre Kessler was inspired, so many years ago, to begin writing an adventure about a cat by her grandfather's stories about life in rural Canada in the 1930's, with his work on the railroads, and the symbol the travelling hoboes used, of a cat, to indicate a "kind lady lives here"...meaning they could get a meal, and be safe. Brupp was born from these stories.
