Words by Sarah Frank & Luke Fraser, the Canadian singing duo The Bombadils, with Art by Veronica Chih Ming Frank.

The days speed by with little ones at home, making parents and caregivers nostalgic for precious moments while they're still unfolding. Amidst finger paint, paper airplanes, and a sweater outgrown too soon, these grownups find themselves singing a wistful song.

This is LITTLE DAYS by Canadian folk darlings The Bombadils (Luke Fraser and Sarah Frank) - East Coast Music Award and Canadian Folk Music Award winners, and parents of three spunky kids. In this tender songturned-picture-book, Sarah's sister, visual artist Veronica Chih Ming Frank sets rich watercolour illustrations to lyrics of childhood magic and wonder, in an imaginative sibling collaboration. Melody music notation included.

The Bombadils (Sarah Frank & Luke Fraser), awarded Vocal Group of the Year by the Canadian Folk Music Awards in 2024, offer stirring lyrics with intertwining string-band arrangements, and tinges of bluegrass. Other recent accolades include Rising Star Recording of the Year at the 2024 East Coast Music Awards, and Americana/Bluegrass Recording of the Year at the 2023 Music Nova Scotia Awards. Making their home in the foggy port city of Halifax, Canada, the band features the duo, accompanied by guests from their extended musical community.

Veronica Chih Ming Frank is a visual artist living in amiskwaciwâskahikan, on Treaty Six Territory (Edmonton). She studied visual art at the University of Alberta and occupational therapy at Queen's University. Veronica's mixed identities as a multiracial artist, auntie, and kids' healthcare provider frequently permeate her artistic interests. Her approach to illustrating LITTLE DAYS is grounded by her upbringing in a warm and chaotic family full of curiosity, daydreams, music, and colouring on the walls. She loves to be in nature with her husband and cozy up with her cat, Pomelo.
