This really beautiful, solid wood KNITTING MUSHROOM is handmade by the skilled craftspeople of Fagus Wooden Toys and Crafts by Dieters, Germany.

A simple kit to get any young knitter started. Very easy to use! With, or without, the hook, wool, and/or cotton tricot yarn, is wound around the attached wooden pegs, and pulled over, as you move around the "mushroom"...again, and again, and again! Your wool rope will come through the hole... and you keep knitting until the length of rope you want is reached!

It is easy to attach different colours of knitting yarn as your knitted rope lenthens. So just start with a shorter length to begin with. Then add as you go!

Adult help might be needed to get new, or young knitters started. Some encouragement might help, but usually most children have the skill needed to create something useful, and really beautiful.
