From Vilac Toys, France this is their vintage GRAND EXPRESS TRAIN SET with forty-two (42) wooden pieces! Everything you see here is included in a neat cardboard carrying case. Tracks fit together to form a continuous 97cm (37.5inch) track!

As shown in the photos, the wooden tracks fit together to form a continuous figure-eight loop, with an extra large loop, with tracks going under the rail-bridge. Included are a train station building, houses, trees, stop sign, traffic lights, 2 free standing figures, logs for a freight car, the train engine, passenger car and 2 more train cars.

Wheels for all the train cars fit neatly in the grooves on the wooden train tracks.

A total of 42 pieces...all in wood... include 1 railroad bridge and 4 pieces of rail track for the bridge span, 4 long straight pieces of track, 2 large track dividers to make the rail loop, 13 smaller curved pieces of railway track, 4 trees, 3 buildings, 2 track signs, 2 figures, 2 logs, 4 rail cars and 1 bright red train engine!

Different skin tones and genders are represented in the windows of the buildings and the train cars. The train cars click together by magnetic attraction.

No loose parts. No batteries! A really solid first train set.
